How to Be a Magician Kit

Very impressed with this kit. The box that the kit comes in is very cool. The quality of props is top notch. The instructional videos come on a neat usb card. There is a ton of top notch material presented and taught. I have a few years of learning invested in this art form and there is really something here for everyone regardless of experience. I would recommend this kit as a great introduction to magic.

Newly acquired interest in magic so I purchased the “How to Be A Magician” kit. It is a wonderful product. The box contains a variety of props that can be used for a wide variety of magic. But the truly exceptional part of this purchase are the multi-hours of Chris Ramsey and his ilk performing and explaining all the physical items in the box AND so many other routines involving cards and other magic. The box comes with a metallic card w/instructions for all of the above. Unfortunately it would not work on my iPAD (user error-me-was likely the real issue) so I contacted ellusionist and within minutes they sent me the entire instructions/performances/explanations in instantly downloadable/viewable format. The videos are well-produced, the presenters are clear and comprehensive in their presentations and how to perform any particular move. So, five stars for content and value and five stars for excellent customer service which is the downfall of so many companies.

Very impressed…most magic kits are pretty…non impressive. This one has very cool effects, decent props, and the teaching is great. This is a professional kit, you’ll learn pro level tricks and even if you’ve been doing magic for some time, you’ll get something out of this for sure. I like this a lot. Everything I’ve bought from this site has been top notch so far. I’d recommend this for sure to anyone wanting to either get into magic OR someone who is already in the biz and wants maybe a new angle on some classics or even pick up some new tricks and skills. Buy it.

I love magic, have loved it all my life. I’m autistic and it can bend my mind, in the best way .
I’ve always wanted to learn a few tricks for fun and have collected a few over the years.
But this box is just amazing, the way the guys describe the explanations allows even a mind like mind to follow and complete.

I'm no magician, I've been dabbling in learning card tricks and buying little gimmicks and gaffs to show off for my kids and family. I've got a couple of pretty cheap magic trick kits already, and they were OK, but nothing like this. Those other kits are full of props and what not, and generally kind of cheap quality stuff. The props in this kit are much better, but that's not where the value is. They say that there are 47 tricks in here, but really there a lot more. A lot more. The value is in the teaching. Again, as a non-magician, this stuff is all new to me. Some of the tricks are so well taught that I've performed them successfully with no practice. Peter McKinnon, Chris Ramsay and Adam Wilber (and Ellusionist founder Brad Christian for one trick) do an incredibly good job explaining each trick. There are certainly tricks in here that will be hard to master, but they don't just explain the trick, they talk about how to practice the trick and get better at it. Honestly, I'm having a ton of fun just watching the video explanations, even for the tricks I'm not trying to learn yet.

I'll also say this. Years ago I watched a show where some masked magician revealed how stage magic tricks were done, sawing someone in half, etc. After watching that show, I actually was a bit turned off to magic. Seeing how gimmicky those tricks were led to disappointment. Card tricks are different, of course, but listening to these magicians talk not only about the trick, but about how to present the trick so as to amaze your audience, has made me even more enthusiastic about learning more magic. My only stuck place now is to figure out how to start performing all these tricks that I'm learning.

In short, I'd say that this kit and the included learning material drastically exceeded my expectations. I look forward to mastering what's included here and then trying their 'how to read minds' kit next.

Greetings from Germany (so please excuse my English)... I am a re-starter when it comes to magic - I liked and did a lot as a teenager and now I am starting again at the age of 53.
The quality of the magic tricks has changed stellar in between. I ordered this kit together with the mental-kit plus mini-fire. Everything without exception was well worth its price (here we say: if you buy too cheap, you buy twice!).
What I am suggestingg to international customers: See if you can find a national dealer who imports & sells Ellusionist`s stuff (in Germany I found TESMAR) - that saves you a lot of hassle and money with customs, shipping & taxes (for a shopping-value of 400$ frum Ellusionist the additional unavoidable fees added up to more than 100$ - which of course is NOT Ellusionist`s fault!!!!).
