We want you to be happy. We want you to learn, love, and use every effect you order from us.

However, sometimes there is a small chance that an item is defective & needs to be returned.

We wish this was never the case - but mistakes/damage during shipping definitely occur in any online business. We're human after all. 

Before returning any item, you must contact our Customer Support Team by emailing support@ellusionist.com for a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA).

Customer Support business hours are Mon-Friday 9am-5pm EST. Please send your order number in the subject line of your email, so we know which order your request is referencing. 

Keep in mind that we do not work weekends, so if you email on a Friday, you're unlikely to get an answer until Monday. 

We aim to answer every email within 48 hours - which is much quicker in quieter periods, but can be longer during busy periods (like the Xmas Holidays, or during a big Sale event).

HERE'S "WHY" WE CAN'T OFFER A REFUND ON EVERYTHING

Ellusionist is in the business of creating magicians - and a lot of our products hold a secret that once learned - can be applied anytime, anywhere. 

Unlike buying a jacket, which if you send back, you can no longer wear - Magic tricks are knowledge-based. 

Perhaps we tell you where to source the gimmick, how to make the gimmick or the secret behind a sleight/effect. Armed with that knowledge, you'll be able to re-create the effect, for the most part, whether you have the 'product' in your hand or not. 

It's for this reason that we're unable to offer refunds on the majority of items that we sell. 

Now if your item is truly defective, we will be more than happy to replace it. You are protected 100% on that. 

The only exclusion to this is accidental or intentional damage by the end-user/buyer themselves. For example, you left your invisible deck in your jeans and put them in the wash. We cannot be liable for mistakes such as this as they do not reflect the quality of the product through its intended use. 

Why can't we refund 'late' shipments?

It's also worth mentioning that Ellusionist has no control of the shipping companies and their timelines. We cannot accept a refund for an item because the item didn't arrive on the day that you expected it to. 

During busy periods (like the Holidays) there can be delays in the shipping system and we always recommend upgrading to affordable, tracked courier services like FedEx if you need your items faster - but again, we cannot be liable for any delays you may experience. 

Order Cancellations

We can cancel and refund any order that has not begun the process of being picked and packed. Once an order has left our warehouse, if you wish to cancel the order you will either need to contact the shipping company to initiate a return, or you will have to return the package after it is received by you. Return the package still requires an RMA in order to start the process so that it may be returned to us safely. Once the package has been returned undamaged the refund will be processed.

OTHER RULES OF RETURNS (THE HARSH-SOUNDING LEGAL STUFF)...

• Any packages that are refused or unclaimed in customs and are returned to our warehouse will be charged a 20% restocking fee and the original shipping charges will not be refunded.

• Any package that is refused or abandoned in customs and is disposed of by that country, or otherwise not returned to us will NOT be refunded.

• Once authorization is issued from our customer service department, returned products MUST have a valid RMA number clearly visible on the outside of the package. Please include your original packing slip with the return also.

• Any products returned to our warehouse without a valid RMA number clearly visible on the outside of the package may be refused and returned to sender unopened. Shipping charges are non refundable.

• Products must be returned to Ellusionist.com within ten (10) days of issue of the RMA number.

• Video tutorials must NOT be viewed. You are purchasing a secret. Ellusionist guarantees physical items and will replace defective items but you cannot forget a secret. 

• The customer assumes responsibility for all returned product up to delivery at our warehouse, shipping via an insurable carrier with tracking is recommended. Customer is responsible for all shipping costs.

• Any product found to be damaged through misuse, abuse or negligence is not eligible for replacement or refund.

• Under normal operation, RMA Returns will be processed within 10-15 business days of receipt at Ellusionist.com.

• If you have received a product that is damaged immediately notify Ellusionist within five (5) days of receipt. Any damages reported after 5 days will not be considered for refund or exchange.
