I got a lady to shoot up out of her chair, and exclaim, “How’d you do that?!?”

Thanks Ellusionist!

I think a suggested linear trick based on what skills they use is a great idea.

This trick just uses classic palm.

This uses classic palm and adds a new level of complexity etc.

As you progress the routine gets harder and more complex but build on each other

Seems like a great idea that would prevent a new magician from getting in way over their head in difficulty and this can lead to slower progress or even a magician not continuing….

The question about magic apps needed at least one more option. Something in the middle. I have DFB and NuMatrix on my phone and use one or the other every once in a while, but I don’t want more and more apps, and I don’t hate apps.

I love magic for the cleverness of it all. When an effect has some strange make-up to make the method work it is all the more interesting to me. I am a very crafty person and love making up the gimmicks for particular effects. Although, it does not have to be gimmicky to interest me, I also enjoy methods that are in a way obvious but fly right by people – including me sometimes. Like the effect ‘out of this world.’ Sometimes it is just so easy to entertain with simple methods.

Left college w/a Semester left to go on tour as Emcee/Opening Act & Asst. for an illusionist that appeared on campus. Led to appearances in 48 States & Canada, 5 Natl. Awards & 2 self-published books in The Tarbell Collection of The Library Of Congress & others. Love “Old School” effects & theatrics that can be worked in today’s touring environments! Need to republish my books & appear in Alaska, California & Hawaii. That’s my “Bucket List”!!!
