Faro Shuffle:
According to the magician John Maskelyne, the above method was used, and he calls it the "faro dealer's shuffle".[4] Maskelyne was the first to give clear instructions, but the shuffle was used and associated with faro earlier, as discovered mostly by the mathematician and magician Persi Diaconis

Two Card Monte: ??
ACR:
The effect is often credited to French magician Gustav Alberti, in the mid-19th century.[3] However, there is a related idea in Ponsin's Nouvelle Magie Blanche Devoilée, published in 1854, that might precede that.
Flip Flop Control: (Flip Flop Plop) Paul Harris
Taught in 'Art Of Astonishment' Volume 1 (page 59). Named for the 'plop' sound that the cards make when being tossed into the free hand. It can be used either in the hands or on a table. The loose careless nature of this control allows the performer to execute it without worrying about being caught.
Paintbrush Change: Various
First appeared in print attributed to Frank Ward Cloyes and marketed by Ellis Stanyon as 'Cloyes Color Change'. (1910). Other versions were later published in Magician Monthly (1912) and Pentagram Volume 1, No. 10 (1947, page 70).
Can currently be found published in 'The Complete Walton, Volume 1' (page 267). In this book he does not take credit for its creation but instead attributes Dai Vernon for the effect. Can also be found in the DVD 'Daryls Enclopedia of Card Sleights, Volume 7'.
