FAQs 

Can I use Virtuoz if I don't have an iPhone?
If you're on Android, you can only use VIRTUOZ for magnet detection.

THE TRUTH IS that although Android represents a significant share of the handset market, it does not represent a significant share of the application purchase market.

What's more, Android is so vast, so customisable and so non-standardised that it's impossible for a single app developer to overcome all the problems with all the device variants on the market - especially the older, unsupported ones.

What's more, Android is also responsible for 100% of app theft.

People can and do hack the system to unlock our apps for free. Something that's impossible on Apple devices... This translates into even more lost revenue.

Instead of dealing with the very public backlash from Android users for apps that don't always work right from the start, the theft of our apps and the hours of development time that mean we're operating at a loss, we've decided to focus solely on iOS.

We'd rather put all our efforts into one medium as best we can than two at a time.

Can you update Virtuoz easily?
Yes Virtuoz has been designed to allow you to update the firmware from home, in a matter of seconds.

In other words, when new firmware updates are available, you can update your unit with the latest enhancements and features in seconds via the dedicated application.

Do I have to open the Virtuoz application before each use?
Once you've paired it with your unique ID on your phone, and made the settings you want, there's no need to open the VIRTUOZ app before each performance.
The smart button automatically connects to your apps and app clips.

Do I need an internet connection to use Virtuoz?
To use magnet detection and your applications on your phone, NO.
For App Clips on borrowed phones, YES.
To download the App clip (3 seconds maximum) a low internet speed is required for this short time.

How much battery life does VIRTUOZ have?
When permanently switched on and with intensive use of the vibrator, around 18h battery life. 
But could be up to several weeks with ‘normal’ use.

Can I switch from one application to another?
Yes, VIRTUOZ is designed to detect the application in the foreground and connect to it automatically.
So you can have other applications running in the background, and a simple swipe is all it takes to switch from one application to another.

What is the Virtuoz connection range?
About 10 metres between Virtuoz and an IPhone (Bluetooth 5.0) in free field. 

What is the magnetic detection distance?
With a neodym 10x3 mm magnet: 7 cm
With a Tango magnetic coin: 9 cm
With a Kreiss magnetic coin: 15 cm

With larger magnets it can be up to 30 cm. 

Do I need to buy an NFC TAG to use Virtuoz?
We'll supply you with a double-sided NTAG 215 NFC tag and a long-range NTAG 215 NFC tag.
It's also perfect for opening APP CLIP CENTER in the blink of an eye.
If you don't want to use an NFC tag, you can also use the QR code or manual link to implant your app clips in a borrowed phone.
