Emoji Trick

Tear up emoji cards, mix them, toss them in the air, and still predict which one they’ll pick.

Don’t let the emojis fool you - this isn't a "toy" trick.

It’s the breakout favorite from the How to Read Minds: Kids Kit, now available on its own. It’s designed to be simple enough for a 7-year-old to perform, yet the principle is so deceptive it leaves adults scratching their heads.

THE EFFECT

The magician shows the spectator a card covered in different emojis. They show that the back is solid green, then rip the card into individual squares.

From here, the magician never touches the props again.

The spectator shakes the pieces like dice and tosses them onto the table. Any piece that lands green-side up is eliminated. They keep shaking and tossing until only one emoji remains.

"I read the future, and I knew that even though this felt like chance... it was always going to land on the poop emoji."

Even though it’s a series of completely random tosses made by the spectator, the young magician reveals a prediction that’s been sitting in plain sight (or in their pocket) the whole time. It’s a perfect match.
