Just had a look at mine. Excellent good quality props & really really good explanations for everything in the box. So glad I bought this. Would highly recommend.

Received the digital copy of the lessons at purchase (didn’t expect that) money well spent! Upon getting the kit irl felt even better about the purchase, everything you need to learn in an easy to understand way. If your not sure about mentalism- this is the intro your looking for. ( you’ll want to upgrade the wallet later. Perfect learner though)

This kit and everything Pete Turner is sharing and teaching is wowing me. I love it. I'm practicing with family and having great fun creating those moments of wonder. I highly recommend it.

BLUF (Bottom Line Upfront): Get it. This is a steal of a deal if you're new to mentalism and have no background in it. This is still a very good (but not great) deal if you want to improve on your existing knowledge.

Pros:
If you're new to mentalism, there's no better place to start than this set. Once you master what's in this set, then you are well prepared to move on to books like 13 Steps To Mentalism and Banachek's Psychological Subtleties. The video production and teaching is very impressive. Peter Turner is a very generous and thoughtful teacher. The quality teaching and the related performances and stories are worth the price of this set. Peter's life story is also fascinating and his takes on subtleties could also be worth the price alone.

Cons:
The gimmicks that come with the set are not the nice ones you see in video instruction. It's obvious that gimmick production quality has gone down since this set rolled out a few years ago. The set also includes a spoon for metal bending? That's a bit overkill and you'd be better served using your own or ones you find in the wild. There are other gimmicks that should be replaced by higher quality ones if you can find them. For example, if you're going to use a peek wallet in your mentalism set, acquire a realistic peek wallet. Are they expensive? Yeah, they are and they're worth it. No sober adult is going to be wondering where the "magic" happened, with the included wallet; They're going to know. If you're performing street, close up, table hopping, or parlor style, you can only do so much misdirection with low quality props - something is going to break or flash.

Overall, this is an excellent buy if you can remind yourself that this was made for people ranging from being in their late teens to being elderly. This is definitely not a set for anyone younger than a late teenager (16 & up). You need to be old enough to understand basic psychology and have enough social experience to notice assumptions people make in life. Admittedly, Peter's life story is probably rated PG-13 at least too.

Peter did boast about the quality of the gimmicks in the set and I was left a bit disappointed when I opened my box and inspected my items. It's hard to mass produce something like this at this price point and I'll give credit where credit is due. This isn't your Walmart magic set but I wouldn't be surprised if the gimmick quality dips every couple of years.

Get this while you can and while the gimmick set quality is still useable!

This is everything advertised and more. From the packaging to the actual kit, this is a great buy!

I've purchased a number of products from Ellusionist over the past 3(ish) years and have always been happy when comparing what was expected to what was delivered.
They do a great job at screening the products they allow to be on their "shelves" and the pride and passion they have in the industry shows!

Their service is beyond any of their competitors that I've ever experienced. I recently had an issue with some video from the original purchase I made through Ellusionist. The disc was no longer readable and I was trying to refresh my memory before a show the following weekend. They not only acknowledged it but corrected it the same day and made sure I had digital files of all the orders I had placed. They made sure I was ready to go for my show and the show was a GREAT success because of them. I was floored!
They should open up a branch of business that teaches customer service to all types of businesses because very few in today's world seem to understand quality service as well as Ellusionist.

Great kit! Great gimmicks! Great instructions! Worth every penny!

The material in HTRM is phenomenal!!! Anywhere from beginner to seasoned pro, there is something for everyone and to have Peter Turner as your mentor during this journey is worth more than the price itself. If you’re into mentalism, you need this!!!
