Pot of Jam - Great bit, great ending.

It's hard to find magic with the right surprise. All too often I see magicians who forget to surprise their audience, and show them something they really aren't expecting. Pot of jam takes the surprise from the final loads of the cups and balls and brings it smoothly to walkaround - and it even gives you a great coin method that can work great on its own. This is probably the Ellusionist download I'm most satisfied with.

Easy and fun

I am pretty new to magic and want to be good at sleight of hand but it's hard. This trick makes me feel like I'm doing good sleight of hand but the routine was really easy to learn and I love grabbing random things in place of the pot of jam. I've done this on a few people and have gotten really great reactions. Definitely recommend.

A great opener.

Love this as it's a 'can do' anywhere trick, which is as much fun to learn as it is to display. It's virtually propless, requiring just a couple of items which you probably already have on you. Watch the clearly explained instruction by James Brown and you'll be confusing and amusing your spectators within half an hour. No difficult sleights required and no coin experience needed either. If you've got a pocket, you can do this easily. Best thing is, the revealed item can be ANYTHING you want, as long as it fits in your fist. For example, I use a pool game 8 ball. Get this now and you'll have it forever.

Pot of Jam by James Brown is SWEET

This is a genuinely awesome effect, not particularly difficult for the novice magician but quite deserving of time and practice (as is every trick) to create an engaging flow. I don't actually have the "right" personality for magic as an introvert and socially anxious person, but I have loved magic virtually my entire life and this art helps me tackle what I find difficult in life and seems to come easily for others. THIS is a perfect trick for those out there like me who find it hard to strike up a conversation, but want to feel the unique pleasure of temporarily breaking someone's sense of reality while fully entertaining them. The only part of Brown's routine I found difficult was the vanish portion of the lesson; it's one of those moves not difficult in and of itself, but FULLY reliant on your strong sense of confidence and fluidity. Personally I think it's more challenging than the entirety of the rest of the routine and perhaps alternative methods could have been also presented...but there's the internet for that as well. GET THIS. More than a fantastic routine with Brown's gentle but strong command of the sleights and an easy-going style, it's a strong reinforcement of magic's basic pillars of education and presentation.

Simple and fun

This trick is an amazing opener for any closeup situation. The simplicity of the trick means this can be done anywhere and the final load creates endless possibilities for your routine. It’s also a very fun performance or can be modified for a more serious performer. For the price point, this should be in your downloads now. You won’t regret this purchase!

Honestly, one of the best things I've seen - so simple, so impromptu, and this got me the best reactions I have ever gotten.
